Cross Border Transportation

We convey breakbulk and containerized perishables.

Purpose of the job includes:

Retention, and growth of customer portfolios for logistics solutions by developing and managing strong relationships between the business, its customers, and operational staff

Responsibilities include:

· Responsible for initiating sales calls for prospective and current clients

· Prospect for leads and perform cold calling to build a pipeline of businesses

· Supervise accounts daily to retain existing relationships

· Responsible for price and service negotiation with customers and carriers

· Responsible for creating sales goals to aid in achieving targets

· Uphold relationships with clients and prospects

· Nurture new sales leads to secure business

· Responsible for offering quotes to current and prospective clients

· Achieve monthly budgets and targets

· Complete all daily, weekly, and monthly reporting as required by management

· Assist the accounts department with a collection of outstanding monies as and when required as well as PODs when required.

· Innovating new and strategic business opportunities

· General contribution to the sales team

· Dealing with queries in a quick, efficient, friendly, and courteous manner

· Ensure all duties are carried out in a timeous, accurate, and efficient manner

· Prepare monthly and yearly targets and provide a strategic plan as to how targets will be achieved

· Develop written proposals for potential and existing clients

· Responsible for supervising shipments until delivery completed to guarantee smooth operations and customer satisfaction

· Assist and resolve queries in the operations and accounts department to the satisfaction of management

· Carry out research to identify companies not currently doing business with the organization

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Matric (Grade 12) Essential or equivalent
  • Proven sales experience, preferably in the logistics industry
  • Knowledge in agriculture (Preferable)
