Purpose.
The prohram is aimed at equipping candidate/s wishing ti undergo training and development in the field of Mechanical Engineering to expand their knowledge and benefit from on -the-job training.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or Matric
- National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, and a B Tech/BSC/B Eng in Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous.
- Must be a citizen of South Africa
- Currently unemployed and not have participated in a Learnership.Internship/Graduate-in-training programme
- Must possess the passion and willingness to acquire exposure in various functional areas within the engineering department
- Embrace, display,promote and uphold company values
- Be disciplined and responsible
- Positive attitude, dependable, ethical and reliable
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment and to meet the minimum standards of fitness to work in a mining environment
- Ability to demonstrate basic communication and report writing skills
- Ability ro work and deliver under pressure
- Willingness to work shifts and/or standby on an as and when required basis
Duties and Responsibilities
- Learning and applying engineering tasks and duties delegated
- Observe and particiapate in shadowing the Engineer and/or other roles within engineeing
- Maintain housekeeping in area of responsibility
- Learning and adhering to safety procedures and guuidelines
- Continously expanding knwledge of engineering, technologies and industry trends
- Attending training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge, skills and expertise
- Collaboration with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks
- Conduct pre-shift checks and to carry out any other reasonable duties in accordance with the prescribed procedures.
