Programme Overview
The Department of Home Affairs (DHA) invites applications from unemployed youth who have obtained a Grade 12 or NQF4 equivalent qualification for the 2026/27 Cadet Learnership Programme that will run for a 12 Month contract period. This is a Youth Development Empowerment initiative that supports the National Development Plan’s idea of formalized recruitment schemes that through theoretical training and experiential learning, afford unemployed youth of South Africa the opportunity to gain skills, knowledge and experience whilst at the same time, positioning themselves for active and meaningful participation in the labour market.

Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend for the duration of the Cadet Learnership Programme contract
