Mining Engineer – (Short Term Planning)
As a member of a proactive and committed team responsible for supporting the Complex by ensuring optimal exploitation of coal reserves, assisting in meeting operational and strategic business objectives.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Conducting short-term planning activities for the opencast operations.
- Supporting the production process to achieve planned targets.
- Fulfilling daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting duties.
- Supporting the preparation of reserves and parameters.
- Doing viability studies.
About you:
To be considered for this role, you will meet the following minimum requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
- Surface Blasting Certificate.
- Mine Managers’ Certificate of Competency or having passed the equivalent of the DMR part C (Law Exam) will be advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Mine Design and Scheduling software.
Minimum Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Production Superintendent level.
- Planning experience in an opencast environment.
