3 Native ESL Teachers wanted (Gangwondo, Inje)

English teaching in Korea.

We are searching for a lively, gregarious native speaker who can work well in a laid-back atmosphere and who enjoys dealing with kids.
Concerning the school: The school can be found in Gangwon-do’s Inje. Within Inje County is an organization called Kwater Inje English Village. One of Korea’s most picturesque regions, Seoraksan National Park, borders Inje. By bus, it takes 1.5–2 hours from Seoul and is easily accessible. It is ideal for anyone who enjoys hiking and the outdoors but still wants to be close enough to Seoul for weekend trips because it is surrounded by mountains and rivers.

  1. Beginning in March or April of 2024
  2. Post: 3 Native ESL teachers
  3. 3. Requirements: a BA degree, a criminal background check, a professional reference 4. Due to Korean work visa laws for native teachers, candidates must be citizens of the US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, or South Africa.
  4. Duration: One-year agreement with potential for renewal.
  5. Salary: negotiable based on experience, +2.8–2.9 million KRW.
  6. Severance pay: one month’s salary upon contract termination
  7. Bonus: If an employee excels in specific areas of their work, they may receive a bonus on Korean Chuseok and Lunar New Year’s Day.
  8. Business hours: Monday and Wednesday, 1-9 p.m.; Tuesday, Thurs, and Friday, 9 p.m.
  9. Teaching Level: Mostly in kindergarten and elementary school. Each kindergarten class lasts for 50–60 minutes.
  10. About 25 hours of instruction each week.
  11. Return airfare: 1.3 million won.
  12. Accommodation: furnished apartment.
  13. Holiday: All national holidays and four weeks of vacation.
  14. Pension, taxation, and 50% health insurance in compliance with Korean legislation.
  15. Paid Sick Days: Three days of sick time.
