Position Overview
The City of Johannesburg (CoJ), Human Settlements Department is offering Internship opportunities to suitably qualified and unemployed graduates. The Interships will run for a a period NOT exceeding eighteen (18) months.

Primary Function: Perform developmental-level professional administrative work, research, and analysis in support of the Business Management Directorate at the Department of Human Settlements. Participate in the Directorate’s day-to-day operations that include general office administration, monitoring and evaluation, risk management and regulatory compliance, HR, and involvement in administrative tasks related to long, medium and short-range strategic planning. This further includes contributions to the development of the Business Plan, Quarterly Report, and strategic planning concept notes.
Responsibilities
- Render developmental-level professional administrative and support services in the Business Management Directorate;
- Support the planning and implementation of Human Settlements programs in the Region;
- Assist in performing administrative duties such as data entry, filing and mailings;
- Assist with event planning, setup, and execution, including logistics, marketing, and operations;
- Assist with marketing and promotional efforts, including social media flyers, and other materials;
- Providing excellent customer service, responding to queries and resolving issues
Requirements
- A Matric/Grade 12 Certificate;
- National Diploma or Degree (NQF level 6/7) in:
- Business Management,
- Business Administration,
- Journalism,
- Media,
- Public Administration
- Public Management;
- No experience required
