Job Advert SummaryRand Water is looking for a Divisional Support Manager Operations to provide professional support services to the Operations Division in budget process coordination and management reporting, business planning, project management, productivity, efficiency and performance management to ensure that divisional management is supplied with key information to manage their areas effectively. The position will be based at Rietvlei.
Minimum RequirementsMinimum Education: B.Com (Accounting or Business Management)Desired Education (added advantage): Honours in Business ManagementMinimum Experience: 4 years of proven management accounting experience and 3 years of general management experience.Desired Experience: 6 years in management accounting and 4 years in public management.
Primary Duties• Provide and support management with business plan process
• Co-ordinate input and produce an overall plan for approval
• Co-ordinate and facilitate detailed budget preparation
• Monitor budget and investigate variances
• Report on variances and recommend actions to resolve
• Prepare monthly management reports on financial performance
• Provide an overarching role for the division in monitoring compliance.
• Prepare monthly management reports on Key Performance Indicators
• Monitor alignment to corporate policy and procedures
• Ensure standardisation of reporting across all sites
• Provide a conduit role between Operational sites and Rietvlei service departments
• Oversee the performance of the division to ensure that it meets its performance targets • Ensure strategic alignment of the divisional Business Plan to the Corporate Business Plan
• Ensure that the divisional risks are assessed regularly to align to the Corporate Strategic Risks
