Responsibilities:

  • Create new employees on the payroll system.
  • Monthly salary administration – Preparation of salary increase and bonus letters.
  • Processing of normal salaries, increases, and back pay.
  • Processing of leave.
  • Salary and leave reconciliations.
  • UIF, PAYE & Workman’s Compensation registrations for community schemes.
  • Calculating, preparing, and paying PAYE & UIF for community scheme employees each month.
  • Annual submission and payment of Workman’s Compensation for community schemes.
  • Creating and paying stationary debits for the salary administration each month.
  • Filing and updating the salary spreadsheet each month.
  • External Queries.
  • Preparing Daily Balances.
  • Back up for colleagues in the Community Schemes Finance Department.
  • Any other task that might be assigned to the position by management.

Salary Administrator Requirements:

  • Being creative in ensuring a proper flow of processes.
  • Adhering to prescribed target dates and procedures as per the Line Manager and the Financial Manager.
  • To be an effective team player.
  • A high degree of accuracy.
  • Managing an effective and efficient filing system.

Skills Required:

  • Admin and computer skills.
  • Punctual execution of administration.
  • Good interpersonal skills in-house.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office and VIP payroll.
  • Creative thinker.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail/high degree of accuracy.
