Job Advert Summary | This exciting new opportunity exists in the Information & Technology Division based at our Kenilworth Office Park in Cape Town. We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Manager to ensure that all IT service levels are maintained and exceed performance objectives. The successful candidate needs to understand the full value chain and provide input on operational process improvements as well as manage 3rd party vendors within the Cloud Infrastructure environment. |
Minimum Requirements | Degree or Diploma in the related field. AWS Architect Associate10+ years in management of infrastructure and operating systems (Windows and Suse or Unix) 5+ years management experience of teams and 3rd party vendors. Extensive experience in engaging at both the technical and managerial layers. Experienced in managing vendor support contracts (SLA). Experienced in managing project handover and instituting supportable processes. Experienced in managing and delivery of the ITIL Disciplines. |
Duties & Responsibilities | Facilitate interactions between service providers and internal service team to resolve problems or improve service in the Cloud Infrastructure division. Setting up and facilitating weekly/monthly operational and ad hoc meetings with Cloud Infrastructure 3rd party vendors on, manage and mature the ITIL disciplines – in relation to changes within the cloud environment. Own and manage audit findings. Develop a Cloud Infrastructure Disaster Recovery Plan and manage the annual testing thereofEscalations Management – Handling of issues and communicating to users. Provide input to various IT teams in order to ensure a smooth running of serviceTeam and people manager. Managing of the relationship with the Cloud Service provider and ensuring SLAs are metIdentify, initiate and execute opportunities for improving service delivery processes. Good communication around issues and opportunities – get things done, make things happen. Partner Management and Risk Management. |
