Senior System Trainer
- Translate the specification into appropriate system test cases.
- Sign off test cases.
- Create test plans and test strategies for different initiatives
- Identify, understand, and apply new technology and trends when developing test cases.
- Analyse functional specifications, create test plans and test scripts, and executing test plans.
- Identify and analyse defects, log defects, and track defect resolution within release time frames.
- Root cause analysis of faults.
- Provide feedback to the development team, ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with the schedule and the quality requirements.
- Perform acceptance tests with customer.
- Maintain a quality assurance environment.
- Educate and mentor team members about effective agile testing practices
- Collaborate with the team to help every member take responsibility for Quality
- Test automation
- Always document testing against acceptance criteria of user story
- Create and maintain Automation packs.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure acceptance tests are maintainable and are an effective element of a continuous integration environment
- Support efforts towards Continuous Delivery
- Focus on providing value to our key stakeholders (both business-facing and technology-facing)
- Collaborate with programmers to improve testability and leverage test automation efforts

What will make you successful in this role?
Senior System Trainer: Qualification & experience
- National Diploma/B.Tech/BSc Information Technology or relevant testing experience AND/OR Relevant Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 5 years’ experience in Software Testing
- At least 2 years’ experience in Insurance/financial services industry
- 5 years of Automation experience or 3 years of Software Development
- Experience with testing tools and frameworks, such as SELENIUM and APPIUM
- Experience with JIRA, .NET, JAVA, C#, SOAP & REST API, SQL
- Experience with cloud computing such as Microsoft Azure DevOps
- A solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Certification in areas of software quality assurance or testing or quality assurance related certification(s), e.g. ISEB ISTQB foundation certification plus Agile Tester Extension or Certified Agile Tester – iSQI CAT with commensurate testing experience.
- Understanding of test automation by implementing new frameworks and enhance existing.
- Experience writing SQL queries
- Experience working in a SCRUM or Kanban Agile team
- Experience testing web-based applications is a requirement
- Experience testing APIs is a requirement
- Experience in setting up test cases;
- Experience designing and executing tests
- Experience in setting up and/or maintaining an automated test tool

- Advanced computer literacy
- Proficiency with MS PowerPoint and MS Projects
- Knowledge of the systems development lifecycle
- Ability to translate complex technical topics into easily understandable concepts
